The Ministry of Education (MoE) and Classification Office invited us to collaborate on an exciting project to introduce learning about porn in schools. This project was especially unique as this was the first time they have introduced pornography and Relationships and Sexuality Education, acting as a breakthrough moment for encouraging important and healthy conversations to NZ youth.
We worked on
- Film editing
- Illustration
- Animation
- Campaign
- User experience
- Film and sound direction
The scope of the work was vast – including the creation of a variety of media, from Learning Management Systems (LMS), video, animation, brand identity, and educative powerpoints – Mark Creative led the project and facilitated the collaboration, strategy, and direction of the work with MoE and Classification Office.
The visual language of the work was a culmination of the clients’ vision and our own ideas. We decided to keep the style open and inviting, working within MoE’s brand colours. The animations however were illustrated from the people from the research video interviews. The animation style was chosen to be more realistic, clearly showing the diversity of the people engaged and bringing context and personal identity to the conversation.
