The Challenge
Drones are fast becoming a consumer product with wide spread usage, with both public and commercial use. This usage places the drones outside of the aviation sector where traditional channels are established. The client needed a public awareness campaign around the rules and considerations when flying a drone.
Our Solution
We delivered a campaign that was developed primarily as a digital campaign. It was created to be fun and engaging but clearly gets the message through. To clearly explain the rules, we developed a series of animations (including an Air NZ inflight animation targeted at tourists), which are on the campaign website. We also promoted this campaign through paid placement on digital channels and through social media. In addition to the campaign digital tools developed, we also designed school educational packs, road show display and giveaway material.
